Gary Franks began his career in 1992 working for his family’s Tucson brokerage. After earning a degree in entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona in 1996 he knew he wanted to pursue a full-time career in the mortgage industry.
Over the years, Gary’s expertise has evolved as the industry moved from typewriters and courier service to the high-tech environment of the modern era. He’s worked (and excelled) through the tech bubble and the mortgage and housing crisis known as the Great Recession, and continues to do so in today’s mortgage landscape.
No matter what, Gary has held true to two principles: Value relationships above everything and make every decision based on whether it will bring peace or regret. That dedication has allowed Gary and his coworkers to consistently rank among the best in customer experience and annual production year after year.
Despite the professional success, the real gratification for Gary is knowing that he and his team do the absolute best they can for every client and create solid relationships that continue on for years to come.
Gary considers community involvement a top priority. He’s currently a member of the Rotary Club of Tucson, and is on the board of the Tucson Association of Executive. He previously served as the president of the Old Pueblo Civitan Club and for the Southern Chapter of the Arizona Association of Mortgage Brokers.
Outside of the office, Gary has been married to his wonderful wife since 1997, and the duo share two children who keep them plenty busy with school, volleyball, and soccer. He enjoys nothing more than spending the weekends watching sports with the family (and squeezing in an occasional board game or movie).
